New issue with my ALP!

After applying 'power' to the unit, the hi fi control set blinks once, and then it dies. It no longer boots up. The power circuit itself is fine as it's connected to the RCM and the RCM is happy.

CPU fried?

@BestRadarDetectors

Thank you as always Tom! What a CM DAY!

You could have a bad controller or more common is a bad ground or not enough power for the system to startup and run the self check.

1) With a bad ground I would believe then the RCM wouldn't boot up then
2) I guess one easy way is to connect the RCM to the ALP (marry) by removing the hifi control set and seeing if the ALP would boot up?

If yes, it's the control set
If not, it's the CPU

Would you agree? Thanks!

I would still not rule out a bad ground or not enough current. ALP requires more power than the RCM to operate.

Wow. What an odd resolution.

I left the car alone for thirty minutes and it now works.

Same issues that we were discussing about before but that's odd.

I'll take that as a victory though!

Thanks Tom!

I still get odd things that happen with mine I can’t explain. Just so long as it’s working that’s what’s important. I’m glad you don’t have to try and troubleshoot.
